RAF RANGEFINDER MKIIIA Horizon and Bubble type
We have just had the above item donated to us – I’ve never seen one before! It is mint and leather cased and is similar to a hand held periscope..
Yes I know its a rangefinder cuz it says so but where how and in what was it used?
My first thought was Coastal Command, eg U boat spotting..or maybe AOP reconnaissance?
