RAF RB45 Tornados?????

Hi

I know that RAF crews flew them, but were the RAF RB45 Tornados that famously flew where the US dared not during the early part of the Cold War have RAF markings?

If so, any photos out there?

Cheers

Cheers mate. Just finished reading an interesting account of what these aircraft got up to. Surely one of the most daring post WWII RAF operations. I understand that the US asked the RAF to fly over Russia after the CIA and USAF crews refused to do it!

When asked to repeat the flights, the RAF answer was a classic – “God, not again!”.

Anyone know the fate of these Mig-dodgers?

See you’ve not had a pic yet APC. Here they all are at RAF Sculthorpe in 1952 with the complete, mixed, RAF/USAF crews.

RAF roundels only but no serials or squadron colours.
