RAF reserve planes

I’m not sure where read it but I hear that there are some Vulcan bombers kept in a servicable condition by the RAF so that they can be used if needed. Is this true and do they reeive updates to keep them capable of deploying modern weapons or is it just dumb weapons. Also where do they keep them? Any other planes kept in reserve like Bucaneers. With the massive American reserves at Davis Monthan do we or any other countries keep similar reserves?
