Good day. Having watched this weeks emotive episode on Channel 5 about the Reds. I felt compelled to act.

When you see what they are doing at Saint Athan… and then look at the lack of initiative and investment in Scampton. Lincolnshire needs that kind of facility.

When the subject was last raised in 2008 – 2010, and the plan to move them to Waddington was knocking around, Lincolnshire County Council had plans circa 2013 to create a museum on the airfield. I don’t know if that still exists….
As for signing it, maybe if someone creates a petition to save all the other airfields they (the MoD) are looking at disposing of, including Linton on Ouse. I might consider it.
Just because of 1 special Sqn formed in 1943 everyone jumps up and decrees it must be saved over any other Fighter/Bomber/Transport Command airfield. The MoD has however decided they have kept life support on the place going for long enough. I doubt they are interested in keeping it switched on.
And finally asking a shower of Muppets in power (whoever that maybe post B word) to change that really won’t make a jot of a difference…..
Nice idea, but I suspect the MoD has taken a reality check
