I cant find much online. What was at RAF Shepperton during WWII? It seems a number of impressed civil aircraft ended up there but why.

This was Shepperton Studios. I remember that quite a few DH60’s made their way to a film company , IIRC Sound City Films. It was always stated these were for ‘decoy purposes’ . I think the company was contracted to make various decoy aircraft, guns etc using their film set skills. I guess the aircraft they recieved were used as base material for the aircraft decoys?
Thank you, everything makes sense now. Why was it referred to as RAF Shepperton though? This means possibly alot more than just the handfull of aircraft i thought ended up there. Does anyone know if the decoys where made on site then moved to their final location or what?
