Sadly, the RAF Tutor display will now not be coming to Shoreham. We are also expecting a solo Fournier RF4D display from the Redhawks display team.

We can however reveal the final addition to the flying programme is Richard Lake’s Hispano HA-112-M1L Buchon. This marks the first time this aircraft has taken part in Shoreham and the first time we’ve had two Buchons take part in out famous Battle of Britain Scramble. More information about the flying display can be found on the following links:-

http://www.shorehamairshow.co.uk/whatson/

http://www.shorehamairshow.co.uk/news/2013/08/the-final-twist/

http://www.shorehamairshow.co.uk/news/2013/08/flying-display-aircraft-information-at-a-glance/

Tickets are available ONLINE until 11.59pm on Thursday 22nd August or right up until the Friday before the show from Shoreham Airport Terminal.

We also have just a few places left in the Executive Marquee. If you would like to enjoy the airshow from the best seats “in the house” with complimentary buffet lunch, programme, easy parking with free transport to and from the Marquee and the famous Spitfire Ales ICE BAR please visit the HOSPITALITY page, download the letter and forms and return to the airshow office ASAP!

There is a Battle of Britain Scramble this year. It is slightly smaller as there is another warbird “set piece” for the 8th Air Force commemoration. So far included in the Scramble are:-

HAC Spitfire Vb
ARCo Spitfire IXT
Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar Hurricane X
Peter Vacher Hurricane I
ARCo HA-1112-M1L Buchon

A further aircraft for the scramble will annouced soon (hopefully!)

I remain very gutted that I’m having to miss it this year ๐Ÿ™ Very inconsiderate of Nana being born 80 years ago on that weekend. ;] I assume there is no Battle of Britain re-enactment this year judging by the lack of English & ‘German’ fighter presence compared with previous years? I remember a year with about 7 spitfires and 3 hurricanes… dang.

But yes, that line up looks pretty exciting ๐Ÿ™‚ and in Reply to the comment about the Red Arrows, they did manage to do a fly past one year on the way down to Bournemouth =]

I’d reallyl ove to see that Tiger Moth display team, the weather was too wet for them last year =[

The online ticket sales close on 22nd August so there are only about 10 days to get your orders in – http://tickets.shorehamairshow.co.uk

If you live in the Shoreham area, our ‘stall’ is now set up in the Shoreham Airport Terminal Building and you can buy tickets there right upto the Friday before show weekend!

THe Red Arrows cannot display at Shoreham due to the proximity of Lancing and Worthing to their display area and particualrly areas where they are flying low.

I guess you are right, Elliott Marsh. I’ll withdraw my comments, attend and have a great time! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you all do too!!! …

No need to withdraw the comment, we’re all entitled to our opinions!:)

The Vulcan’s one day appearance is a nice compromise – just hope the show’s blessed with some decent weather this year! Last year was a good show but it wasn’t half dull over the top!

We are delighted to be able to confirm that Avro Vulcan B2 XH558 will once again be gracing the skies above Shoreham on Sunday 1st September. The Vulcan is embarking on itโ€™s sixth display season under civilian operation which a great achievement considering the considerable financial hurdles the Vulcan to the Sky Trust has been forced to overcome. Considerable public and commercial support has ensured the Vulcan has become a highlight of many airshows around the country and even some in Europe.

The Vulcan fits in to our celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Dambusters as 617 Squadron operated the type between 1958 and 1981 flying both the B.Mk.1 and B.Mk.2 variants of the Delta-winged bomber before requipping with the Tornado which continues to serve with the Squadron to this day.

Due to operational constraints this year, the Vulcan will only be with us on Sunday 1st September.

Advance Discounted Tickets are available from the Online Box Office priced ยฃ18 for Adults and ยฃ8 for Children (12-15 years old). The latest complete flying display listings can be found on the Whatโ€™s On Page

I wish there was a silent zone somewhere along the display line devoid of loudspeakers so that those who wished to could evade the commentary and not get poles in their photographs.

Gutted I can’t make it this year, the line up this year looks the best it’s been for a long time! Unfortunately my Nana was inconveniently born on that weekend 80 years ago and we’re all going away for it… poo.

The line-up is much like any other year! Don’t get me, wrong, it is a nice friendly and open show but, really, how about something different and, Amarok is right, if it is to be a Dambuster’s anniversary where are the Dambusters other than the Lanc that goes to pretty much every show elsewhere too!!

RR

The Skytrain, Thunderbolt, TF-51, Hurricane Mk.X, Sea Fury, Strikemaster, Hunter, Sabre & Sea Fury are all types which either haven’t appeared for several years or are dรฉbuting at Shoreham. Yes, there’s a lot of familiarity on the list – as there always is at Shoreham, and as there is for pretty much every British airshow – but there’s also plenty going to keep things fresh. I think it’s looking cracking at this stage and generally, even the familiar acts are ones which always put on a great display.

They’ve mentioned elsewhere that the Vulcan’s appearance is pending sponsorship etc., so it’s not like they’re neglecting it – after all, it’s been there for the last few years, might freshen things up a bit for it to miss 2013…:D

Are the RAF still planning a Tutor display in 2013? I thought that had been abandoned for this year due to the type’s grounding following its rather unfortunate propensity to shed prop blades in flight.

No Vulcan or 617SQN Tornado ?
with the Lancaster that trio would be a excellent salute to 617 Sqn
