capabilities aside, which do you think was more successful for their respective companies.
Rafale has nearly 200 aircraft produced or being produced for domestic orders and up to 90 in exports.
It seems to have gotten lots of good upgrades it needed while its rival, the typhoon, is languishing.
I don’t think this will end any time soon since France doesn’t want to join the manned 5th gen club, so the Rafale will soldier on for a long time
in contrast, the j-10 hasn’t had much export success.. but over 400 were built for domestic orders. twice that of the Rafale.
it is also getting timely upgrades.
it may end up having a long career since it seems China is choosing the J-10 over the J-31!
