RAN future frigate

I’ve seen alot of discussion regarding the future submarine and patrol ship of the Royal Australian Navy but not alot regrading the future frigate.

From what I understand the field had been quite large

-FREMM-FR
-FREMM-IT
-MEKO A400
-TYPE 26
– F-100

what are some thoughts regarding this program ? Are there other ships that might of been missed that should be considered like the Damen Crossover combatant or the DSME 8000 ?

Sea Power: The Italian Job – Fincantieri’s proposal for Sea 5000

Fincantieri’s proposal for the Sea 5000 Future Frigate is based upon the Italian version of the European FREMM (FRegata Europea, Multi-Missione).

More specifically, the Australian variant will be based upon the Italian Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare variant, rather than the similar but more austere General Purpose version.

The project (Sea 5000) has down selected Italian Fremm, Type 26 and Navantia’s F105, my gut feel is the F105 will get up
