Hi,
My rarest item is a buzz 737-300 or a SAA 747-200 (in the old livery) safety card. What is yours?
Nationwide Air 🙂

New Zealand airline collectables
Hello,
I realise this thread is a few years old, but if anyone is still reading…
I collect NZ airline items and have decided to put together two books on the subject. One on postcards, the other on baggage labels, tags, stickers, chinaware etc. If you collect, I am keen to trade. I can find BOAC, BCPA and other airline items if you’re interested.

Ren
I have a glossy booklet on Abbotsinch which I bought for 2/6 in July 68 when I was passing through there. There are a few colour photos in it but mainly black and white. The cover is loose but its still in good nick. I am going on leave on 13th October and if my flat is not rented by then I will dig it out of the attic and scan some of it for you (assuming you don’t already have a copy). I also have one of Manchester airport I bought there in 1969.

Last one is the “unrarest” as it were, a pair of Delta wings from the early 80’s given to me by my uncle (a left seater right now on the 757 or 767 I always forget which).

Here be an Il-62 pin. I can’t believe I forgot about these!

And a Tu-154 pin.

Some digging led to a few other items in my collection, so naturally I grabbed my camera 😀
Here’s the Tu-144 pin I mentioned.

I have safety cards from the Continental DC-9, MD-80, 737-200, 737-300, 737-500 and Continental Express B-1900D, ATR-42, EMB-120 and EMB-145 as well as tons of other company trinkets from over the last 5 years. There are also aircraft manuals for COEX B1900D, ATR42/72, EMB-120 and EMB-145 on my shelf. The girlfriend has a Continental 737NG manual and Northwest A320 manual too. I also have some posters for the 100th ERJ delivery as well as the poster they used when they were the launch customer.
It was all aquired through legit means. 🙂 A lot of it was being thrown out as the different fleet types were being retired and the other stuff is from knowing the right people.

Not sure if it was an Olympic pin or an Aeroflot one, but it features the Olympic rings and a Tu-144S silhouette. The idea was to use the aircraft to fly VIPs and athletes (particularly Soviet ones) I believe. Dunno how rare it actually is, but it’s the best I can offer!
That is indeed a precious memo. SOC.:)

1911 edition of flight, BEA cocktail mixing card, Manx Airlines Juice Jug etc. BAe, Manx Airlines, Brit Regional Airlines and BA Citiexpress pilots wings (all earnt & worn by me!)
Safety Cards are always being tea-leafed – the bane of my life when I was Cabin crew. That said, if you ask the crew nicely, generally they’ll let you have it anyway – Hardly secret info! I gave a fair few away as well as sick bags (empty!)
