Hi everyone
I am looking for some help and advice
I have received an email from a major Defence Weekly publication wanting to use one of my photographs
http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1162719/
firstly for a news story, but also in one of our reference titles, (for which an additional fee would be payable). Could you let me know what your rates are?
does anyone have an idea what is a reasonable fee?
if you dont want to post a figure here, you can send me a PM
thanks in advance for you assistance

My own experience is that £20 is the minimum.

If its just a photograph then other magazines only pay around £10-£20. It seems to depend on how large an image they print.

I sold 6 pictures last year of a 757(Iron Maiden) to a teacher who wanted to use them in lectures and whose son also knows Dickinson.I charged 120 GBP for full service, printing, postage, time etc.I thought this was a little high however the customer was very happy with price and product so it’s up to you what you think theyre worth start high and come down if needs be.
