If Italeri are gonna release a T-6 model isnt it nice for it to be yours in your markings! (14700 is ours!)

Strange, can’t find any mention on the Auster Club site under the “Events” calender.

Same here, it’s listed in an Auster Club magazine I have though

Possibly, but would you care to elaborate whats happening at Eggesford ? Or is it a private pow-wow ?

The following weekend is the (previously postponed) VJ day airsho at Dunkeswell with Sea Fury, BBMF, Catalina, C-47, Pembroke, 2x JP’s, An-2, and Miles duo all booked to appear, so maybe you or the Auster guys will be there also ?

TT…. do Anson’s count ? 😉

The Auster ‘thing’ is open to all lovers of aeroplanes. Its not advertised in the flying magazines, due to the fact that its only really for Austers and Beagles, but anyone passing is more than welcome to come and say hello. Where else in the world can you see 4 airworthy Auster Mk.9s, the sole remaining Alpine and Chrislea Sky Jeep, the famous G-AMMS, Lycoming power Autocar, the Mk.III, a AOP.6, 2 Chipmunks, Broussard, the Phoenix Duet and more and more Austers.

As to Dunkeswell as its only just down the road, think that we will be going. Think it was cancelled last year due to the cost of policing the site. Shame.

And I’ve got this Victor sitting here too. Perhaps over the weekend of the Auster event at Eggesford when Mr Langham is down our way?

Thanks for your kind comments – erm, due to a lack of requisite number of wings (0) and powerplant (0) Brunters at the end of August – by tow tug! 🙂

(see the website for current pic)

Red tape, eh? Never mind. When are you hoping she’ll be airworthy?

Right, I should check your website…

‘ours’ is 1/48th Tailspin – even better

Sadly it’s scale may be a stumbling block for me. I have limited space and, unless I get rid of my mum’s fine bone china I’ll have to stick to a 1/72 scale model.

I like the idea of your bird being marked up a little differently. It’s nice to see a variation of liveries. It shows that the T-6 served a great many nations. It’d probably be my first warbird purchase… after the PPA and the hefty cash injection into my bank account. 😉

What show’s is she attending?

The MKIV Martin mentioned was news to me –

http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/p351382/Revell-04639-1/72-T-6G-Harvard.html

not sure whether its a new tooling or whether its a reissue of the old Heller kit or Academy one (probably the best 1/72nd one on the market though if you want underwing stores Heller is the only place to go) Seem to remember the Airfix Harvard was pretty awful, but they have a new issue T-6 out which I think is the Heller one

I think a nice 1/72 scale T-6 will make the long winter nights seem a little shorter. When’s it getting released again?

Umm suppose I’ll have to and get a few of those to add to my ‘stock’. If you autograph one for me, will it got up in value? 🙂

Ooh yes, me too please TT, before they get snapped up at the Sywell show. 😀

Cant stop buying kits…..last week added yet another Airfix T-6G (the old Heller one) to my collection and a Academy T-6G on Friday. Already got lots of them already and now I hear Revell are releasing a new 1/72 Harvard Mk.IV next month.

Need to make some more room in the house…..perhaps dispose of my TSR2s to make room!!

Not sure Jan – I suspect they copied it wholesale from T-6 Sur L’ Afn published last year – there was a side profile of our machine in the book – see our website under ‘Texan Tomcat’ and the profile is there…

Good though innit!

That’s excellent TT! 🙂 Any ideas who did the research for the decal sheet?

Regards,

Jan
