Damn caught the first few minutes but was forced out to go food shopping! Must buy a video recorder that works with Freeview.
I’ve searched the TV listings on radiotimes.com and it seems that the programme will not be repeated in the next week.

A very moving tribute.
He narrated the first documentary I ever Directed and he narrated the first Airshow Programme I made and I count myself lucky to have spent time with such a gentleman. As a presenter his skills and ability eclipsed the so called “talent” we have on our screens today.
We will sadly not see his like again.

Hi,
You didn’t record the tribute I suppose ? Planned to watch it but was sidetracked and only saw the last five minutes 🙁
Had the pleasure of meeting Raymond at the last Friends of the Fighter Collection hangar open evening where as guest speaker he had lost none of his style despite his apparent frailness.
I still watch old airshow tapes/DVD’s partly to remember old airshow acts that we no longer have and partly for Baxter’s commentary’s.
Indeed I feel that those two commentators they used at Duxford on Sunday could learn a lot from watching them.
As a television Airshow commentator nobody has ever come close to being as accurate and setting scenes or relaying the importance of the aircraft and crews he was commentating on.

Excellent. The BBC did him proud with a wonderful tribute to a lovely man and a real 100% hero. Not a dry eye in the slicer household, I can tell you.
Blue skies, Raymond.

I’ve just watched the Raymond Baxter tribute and found it one of the finest, moving obituaries ever seen. A legend for all sorts of reasons.

This clashes with a programme on ITV (Central?) “How London Was Built” by Adam Hart-Davis on “a look at the development of civil airports , from the early days….”
I’m out this evening and can only video one 😡
Roger Smith.
