RCAFM Museum fuselage ID?

I was at the museum today to see how they are progressing on the Halifax NA337 project. There is not too much to report.

But, I was shocked to discover the tail end of another aircraft sitting out behind the NA337 display area. I couldn’t get any closer as the area is blocked off.

Lancaster?

Does anyone know where it came from? Is it a training mock up with a section of the fuselage wall cut away?

Hi Peter/682al

I guess an original fuselage converted for instructional use would be a good call.

I have not asked anyone where it came from. I’ll try to find out on my next visit sometime again soon.

It’s pretty convincing, if it’s a mock up?

I’d go with an original fuselage, converted to instructional use.

I’m quite amazed by what survives of your Lancaster heritage over there.

Thanks for posting the pics!

Hello Mike.
I would lean towards a mockup? Have you emailed them to ask where they got it from?
