Hi friends.. new to the forum but posting one Q for all pilots :-
Given ideal flight conditions (weather / load / fuel / etc), What is the % of accuracy for flight time from point A to point B, when compared with (pc based simulator) and REAL TIME flight?
Anyone who has done such comparisons, please post ur replies.
Thanks & Regds

If your messing about, then flight time can be silly, say if you do NCL – LHR direct GPS with no weather, obviously because you dont have winds, and you don’t have to hold at one of the many LHR holds (dont get me started on OCK. But if you do it properly then like Andrew says it can 100% accurate.

It CAN be 100% accurate but you need to then know ATC restrictions or delays they faced that are not normal and what mach, altitude etc they used (alt is easily obtained but they may choose to go at mach .81 instead of .78 etc).
If you can get the variables needed your flight time should be the same as the real aircraft.

The inflight time in my experience tends to be very simillar (obvioulsy depending on winds etc) but in FS we don’t have the hanging round at airports etc – nor Ryanair’s often quoted “ATC Delays over central Europe”.
