I was wondering what records are available online.
I know of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and think some australian records are online but not much else.Anyone know of any other archives / records online.
I know that the PRO have their catalogue online but thats really just the titles and descriptions of theirs records so isnt really what Im after.
BTW how does everyone find the new PRO catalogue. I find it difficult to find any of the pages I used to be able to find
What up with that whole system.

RE: Records avaliable online
Merlin,
There are Australian records available online for Soldiers died during the Great War. These take the form of photocopies of a form filled in by families who wanted their deceased recorded on the Australian War Memorial. This database is very user friendly and the website has many other sections including a huge searchable photographic database. I think the address is www.awm.gov.au if that doesn’t work try a search for the Australian War Memorial, it’s well worth a visit.
Hope this helps,
