Red 7 Flies again!

Red 7 Flew again today with Walter Eichorn at the controls, appears to have not been able to retract the U/C but hopefully a minor problem to be resolved.
Congratulations all round, hope to see it very soon!

Supposedly a Flugwerk 190 (D-FWJS any pics?) also flew on the same day at Manching

Made in P.R.C.

Thank you for the answer. Made in the Peoples Republic of China like most things today. 😀

I suppose they are not using a BMW 801 in the Flugwerk 190. What engine is it then? 1830?

Ken

Huosai HS-7 – its a license built Schwetov ASch 82T apparently.

Hi David,
That info comes from a few sources as the aircraft being yellow 8, it does not however, as far as I know, wear the scheme.

Thanks for your answer. I only know that “yellow 10” was a possible war time marking of this plane.

Just as a quick question, have you seen anymore photos or videos of red 7 flying other than on your great site,
Thanks
Matt

Sure, I have seen many photos and videos of the red 7. They are not all on my website, just try google, airliners.net and youtube.com. 😉

Here is a photo from 8th October 2004. It was poor weather on this historic day of the “red 7” presentation. 🙁

FWCC has flown, it is the first Flugwerk 190!

Thank you – so this, the prototype, has flown (under one hour), plus last weeks first flight of D-FWJS at Manching.

And how many of these FlugWerk replica Focke Wulf 190’s? There must be a few of them flying now, right?

No Dave, as far as I am aware only the ‘prototype’ has flown prior to the machine in this thread and then only for less than one hour total time. There are of course a number of other examples close(ish) to flying including the French example and the Fighter Factory one at Bremgarten. The first one is painted and the second one will be painted this Spring.

Awesome. So these days there are some pretty good representatives of the more popular WWII Luftwaffe fighters. Thanks.

D-FWJS, Don’t know who owns it Germany

D-FWAB Tom Blair UK

D-FWWC Germany

Another one is lurking in Darois France F-AZZJ

I have lost track, so how many Daimler Benz engined Bf109’s are currently airworthy now, and where are they all?

And how many of these FlugWerk replica Focke Wulf 190’s? There must be a few of them flying now, right?

None of the following photos are mine

FMBB G-6 Messerschmitt Stuftung

Black 2 G-10 Messerschmitt Stiftung (currently being repaired)

Red 7 G-4 Messerschmitt Stiftung

White 14 E-3 Russel Group Canade

Yellow 8 E-3 Paul Allen

There are however many current restorations to airworthy with Daimler engines occuring at the moment,
in the next few years the number of airworthies will hopefully rise sharply. I have even spoken to someone restoring a G-12!

Great news indeed.

From what i can gather, red 7 is the only EADS machine that could cross the channel to the uk due to the way its registered. I’m not too sure how or why so don’t ask!!!

Is the fw190 an EADS machine as well then?

3 me 109’s, a me262 and an fw 190 in formation………….

I think it’s a good representation of a typical Luftwaffe Bf109G – that’s good enough for me!

(My all-time favourite Luftwaffe scheme has to be G-BOML’s “Red 3”, closely followed by G-ETME’s “Yellow 14”)
