Didn’t an upgraded Hawk (hawk 100) crash in similar circumstances at a demonstration – from memory Saudi Arabia?

Question to any fast jet pilots.
How easy is it to accidentally pull too many G?

He pulled 6.3g on the break, the airframe limit for the Hawk T1 is normally 8.5g,but there are a number of factors which will affect g tolerence even for experienced pilots and presumably one or more of these factors came into play during this tragic accident…it is very rarely just one factor and circumstances sometimes conspire enough to cause major problems !

Do the Red Arrow pilots not wear G-Suits then ? I know that not all aerobatic teams do.

(Just read that they do)

Very sad especially as he was only doing a run and break to land.
These pilots pull lots of G’s during their display so very unlucky to happen at that moment.

Question to any fast jet pilots.

A spokesperson read out the Coroners verdict outside the Court House, had he been at 600 ft instead of 500ft, he most likely would have made a safe landing.
Very sad, 100 bloody feet……………………

Sorry to hear that BR !!
The Reds had a tragic 12 months :(…
We were fairly sure this was going to be the verdict as usually after a serious accident/incident we get at least one urgent technical check to do on the a/c but from Jons accident there was nothing…all very sad !!

Probably GD would be a better place overall as it is general interest. Eggy went to my school…
