Hi All,
So sad to hear of the fatality, thoughts with all his family and all associated with the Reds at this sad moment in time.
Geoff.

Whilst the internet can be good, instant news on this sort of accident is not. Thoughts with the engineers family, the pilot and his family and the wider Red Arrows family.

Meddle, that’s standard though, it’s the human condition. Speculation is rife, you only need to look at the media.

Very sad to hear of this. Hopefully a speedy recovery for the pilot.
I was slightly disappointed to see, in some quarters, the rabid haste at which aviation fans were posting information in a bid to be ‘first!’ and to demonstrate they had knowledge before the press etc. Distasteful behavior!

My thoughts are with The Red Arrows Team and their families tonight. A sad day indeed.

Yes the Engineer in the back was killed, such a sad day and my thoughts are with his family who must deal with this tragic event, the Pilot is in hospital, and I hope his injuries are not serious past those normally associated with ejection.
I thought posting it was Red 3 also before the families may have been informed rather crass too. You can hurt families reading it on the web when it may not be the Red 3 pilot in it.

I have put it in the Military forum already, it’s not historic…. though the age of the Hawks it should be,
