Red DC 3

Just a quick question.
Just seen a red Dakota over Portsmouth was up about 5 to 10.000 ft hard to say. Never had my bins to hand, anyone any ideas?

Thought I heard a couple of radials rumbling this morning about 9.30 – 10.00 – I live about 5 miles from Coventry Airport.

Thanks Paul
That’ll be the one then. Such an unmistakable sound.

Could be the Air Atlantique one from Coventry (Sorry, registration escapes my memory). The one with the radome under the fuselage.

Radar trials perhaps?

Just checked – G-ANAF is their red Dak
