Californication is a great song…although they have simple riffs but some songs are great…and there bassist is one of the best i have seen yet. No i am not comparing him to Cliff Burton… :9

I agree Dave. I know those guys for years and I like this kind of rough/basic rock n’roll.

Anyway it’s a good medicine against all that crap of techo and rap.

They used to be brilliant (Mother’s Milk was a great album) but they have definately changed in to boring old farts by now. Repeating the same old sentimental acoustic guitar fluff now over and over again… yawn… and i thought ‘Under the bridge’ was boring.

Still, their cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Higher ground’ was brilliant.

They’re good but always no 3 or no 4 on my list. The Zephyr Song is quite chilled out, but classics like Californication are mood changers too.
