The day has come! It’s been a long wait since I bought the tickets in January(!), The Chilis are playing at Murrayfield tonight and I can’t wait! Support acts are N.E.R.D and Ash.
Doors open at 4pm, Chilis aren’t on till 8pm!
This is going to be rocking! 😀
Anyone else here going to a Chilis gig elsewhere on their tour of Europe?

Saw the Chillis in a great little club in Tijuana in either late ’89 or early ’90…forget which. Was a cool place for a gig so went several times during my So Cal sabbatical. Even saw The Mission supported by the Wonderstuff there. A run-down little dive in Mexico full of Brummie accents that night…most surreal

Red Hot Chilli Peppers at last!
Too hot for me, don’t mind the mild one’s, especially in Thai food
You’re confusing Red Hot Chilli Peppers with Red Hot Chili Peppers Steve. 😉

One Chilli Peppers song I would like to hear live is Minor Thing, one of my favs of theirs.
They didn’t play that, I was hoping they would. They didn’t play Suck My Kiss either! 😮 shame. 😉

No – very disappointed with it, strangely enough…

Found One Hot Minute almost too ‘red-neck’ and Californication and By The Way just the same sort of bland west coast AOR that persistantly comes from that area…
Shame really.Flood.â„¢
You’ve got to love ‘I’m a little pea’ ?
” F*ck you, you homophobic, red neck, d*ck!”

Hope they play some classic stuff for you – BloodSugarSexMagik is infinitely better on its own than the next three albums put together. Alright, they all have their moments but I can honestly say that I played By The Way just three times and never bothered transferring it to tape to listen to in the car – and if I hadn’t done that for Californication then I probably wouldn’t have listened to it at all for the last three years or so…:(

Yip, anything from BSSM and Mother’s Milk, certainly “float’s my boat”. I was working in LA when By the Way hit the charts and it will always remind me of a perfect summer, happy memories.
Californication is a fantastic record and probably marks the end of the Chili’s as funk/rock band, I see them doing a U2 from now on in and getting ‘all mature man’.
If you see me getting high , if you see me getting high, knock me down. :p

Well that was the best gig ever! 😎
They played a wide variety of stuff, old and new.
Ash were alright.
Not a great fan of N.E.R.D however they put on a good show for the audience. However, they kept calling us ‘motherf*ckers!’ for some strange reason? 😉

My daughter is in deep depression, this coming Friday the Chillis play Manchester, its also her 18th birthday and as soon as the tickets went on sale I bought 4 for her and 3 mates to go, then she found out her final A level exams (all 3) are on the same day.
To say she is pi**ed about it would be putting it mildly.
So instead of being in the stadium, she’ll be sitting in a class room in an exam, we tell her it will all be worth it in the end, however it’s hard for anyone to feel any different at any age.

Gonna see them wednesday this in Amsterdam, can;t wait, should be a great show, better then 2 years ago I hope, this is supposed to a concert instead of an act at a festival
Are the Pixies supporting in Europe ? I heard they were, if so get there damn early ! 😀

Well, I’ve just been listening to the final sound checks in my back garden.
This is amazing, I can actually walk there from my house. 😀
Planning on heading down 5pm or just after.
It’s a shame it’s Ash then N.E.R.D, I’m not a huge fan of either but I’d rather see Ash then the Chilis, but if I want to see Ash I’ll have to listen through N.E.R.D as well. 🙂

I’m gate crashing the Hyde Park one 😉 Sounds good, but you’re probably gonna shout at me if I say that I think they’re over-rated! 😀
Shame about the support…
