Redhill Airshow 2005

Another cracking Redhill Airshow, this year with the biggest and best flying display yet. All display pilots did very well in the changeable conditions, particularly Pete Rutherford in the Pitts who displayed in the worst downpour of the day. Really good stuff from the RAF fast jets (Tornado F3 and Hawk) to keep their displays within the display area – highly important with Gatwick so near!!! Also a public display debut by the UH-1H which appeared in the static.

Great stuff – love the gloomy Dak shot in particular, and the nice yellow Tiger Moth 🙂

Great pics, many thanks for posting.

What’s with the Hawk scheme? Isn’t that the sort of design that appeals to 10 year old boys? ( “We’ve got a great scheme for the Hawk, Sir, once I’ve stolen my son’s T-shirt to copy.” ) Chav Air?

The Catalina looks incredible and so does the Dakota. Both the Mustang and the Spit are beautiful as well!

Superb pictures there! Love the livery on the Hawk!

From seeing yours, and Gary’s photos, im quite annoyed that i didn’t go. I was impressed back in 2003, when i first went to the show… but sadly have failed to visit it again over the past 2 years. 🙁 Maybe next year.

Nice contrail from the Sea Fury. Which ‘Dak’ is that? Fifi Kate?
