Regional Express, an Australian regional airline, has commenced operations with a fleet of Saab 340 and Metro 23 turboprop aircraft. The airline is an amalgamation of the former Kendell Airlines and Hazelton Airlines who in turn were both former Ansett Group airline subsidiaries.
