Registration change CF- to C-, when?

In the late 70’s the canadian registrations changed from CF-… to C-….;
Can anyone tell when it exactly has happened?
One pic in my collection shows a plane with C-registration already in early 1976, others not before springtime 1977.

You can still obtain a CF- registration but they are reserved for vintage aircraft only.

I think the official date was in 1974.
