Actually I did! We too had a good day and enjoyed the atmosphere and relaxed, helpful and enthusiastic volunteers. We will return to visit the museum and to Combined Ops next year.

The jets are NOT part of the museum! To find the museum all you have to do is follow the signs, its the same route all the time.

The jets were almost buried in undergrowth when I was there last Summer!

Never saw any “old jets” so can only guess that access is different on show days, making museum access less easy. Anyway I will return!!;)

The first time I went I walked up the public road but then had to be let in a gate. But the easy way is across the area in front of the airfield and para school offices and a fenced footpath by the old jets.

Had a very good day today – lots to see and a short but pleasing air display. But despite a tip in another thread I failed to find a way into the museum nor sight of the Reichenberg. With grandchildren in tow we had left the museum to the end of our visit so perhaps didn’t look hard enough! I’ll go again another day with more time.:)
