Remember # 136 …. Smoking or Non Smoking

As a non smoker I’m pretty pleased about the blanket ban on smoking but do you remember the days of Smoking or Non smoking sir?

One of my worst experiences on a plane was being 2 rows infront of the “smoking curtain” on a 8 hour flight to Orlando, I was gasping for fresh air at the end of the flight.

I also find it funny how since the ban, you see smokers running off the plane to the teminal just to light up…. 😮

One thing I do remember was that all British airlines of the ’80s sold Parker pens with their logo stamped on them. I had a British Airtours one for ages.

I had both a Monarch and a Britannia one. They now appear to sell more modern pens, I really like the Britannia ballpoint and the Jet2 fineliner.

A friend of mine recently flew Emirates Melbourne-Dubia-London and was allowed to smoke in the rear of the aircraft

Also, I detest smoking in public areas in general.

Me too. Do any airlines still allow smoking (I’m guessing that a couple must still do)?

I’m a non smoker too.

I hated smoking sections in planes. Usualy I was sat in it because my mother smokes.

I’m a non smoker, yes i remember enduring hours upon hours of putrid eye reddening smoke on long overseas trips, thank God it doesn’t happen these days
