Former Fg Off David Winter, my friends step father, recently passed away suddenly at the age of 83.
His family would love to know further details about his service and possibly anyone that may have served with him. Having suggested the normal steps of retrieving service records and contacting Sqn Associations I offered to post on the Forum with their blessing.
Mr Winter is believed to have served in the 50s and early 60s and known to have flown the following types, Meteor, Vampire and Venom. It is believed he served he served with 141 Sqn before it was disbanded and then with 41 Sqn at RAF Coltishall.
Any help or information will be greatly received by the family.

Sorry I am a bit late in replying, sorry for your loss and RIP to a fine gent.
Have you tried contacting the associations, they should be able to help fill in some of the gaps, also ask on the PPrune forums in the military section as there will be some of his contemporaries on their.
