I have the following Remote contactor but am not sure what they were fitted to.
The one on the left is a type 71. I thought it was an American item but it has the AM Crown stamped on the back. The numbers on the front are No 260/46 24 v and 10/AD/68
The second one is a type 3 contactor . I have seen type 4’s but not 3’s. Whats the difference. This one has 116A/339 and No 1222 12v

The ref number 110A/339 would imply that the type 3 is of perhaps Canadian supply whilst the 10AD/68 on the type 71 would probably make it a standard British supplied item and the serial number 260/46 is probably denoting 1946 as the year of manufacture. As for the differences I am afraid I cannot help!
