Ah, you know the ever-helpful Pam… That’s good! I went to visit them a week ago whilst I was in San Francisco – don’t ever go in person, the experience can be VERY expensive!!! 😮

Hello guys,could I just ask, where do you guys order your models from?

I mostly buy mine from Luchtvaart Hobby Shop in Amsterdam, either by visiting or by mail order. They have a huge assortment of Herpa, Gemini, Aeroclassics, Dragon Wings and lots of other makes one haven’t even heard of. Aviation Center Berlin is another company I use now and then.

Nope, you have a duffer there… Check out Brinkley’s pics and you’ll see it should have BOAC on both sides.

FWIW, if you’re ordering from the US, have you ever tried JetCollector? I get all of my Aeroclassics and BigBirds from them, and they’re normally “imaginative” with the customs declaration meaning I rarely pay any import duty – of course, I’m not encouraging anything illegal, but… If you look them up sometime, tell them Andy from the UK recommended them!

I’m proud to finally announce the arrival of a model representing a plane I flew in for real (got a feeling I’ve flown G-DOCT?) It’s EI-DAA an Airbus A330-200 by Herpa models.

So, Ren’s got some Herpes now 😮 (I presume that’s the plural of Herpa :p )

I also have G-DOCT (BA 734) and G-EUPA (BA 319) – It’s always nice to have a model of something you have flown on.

Some more fantastic models, especially love the BA A319.

And WHAT! a collection. I am incredibly envious 🙂

I stopped using Collector’s Aircraft Models for exactly the same reason. They take orders on stock they don’t have and keep you waiting while they find it.

I can recommend using Mike at www.classicaeromodels.co.uk he only has stuff on sale that he actually has in stock and can usually track down anything else you might need through his wholesaler.

Prices are good too.

Hello guys,could I just ask, where do you guys order your models from?

I’ve tried ordering a Delta 777 in the new livery from Collector’s Aircraft Models via the internet,but it’s been about 6 weeks and yet no sign. I rang them after 2 weeks and enquired about changing the order for an American Airlines 777 if they couldn’t tell me when they could deliver my original order,but they couldn’t tell me if they could get that either,this saga’s making me consider cancelling my order as it looks like they’ve forgotten all about it 🙁

Are you saying that the 3x BA 727 set is rare and sought after? I’m asking since I’ve got it and doesn’t really need those models since I think the BA livery doesn’t look right on a 727…

It’s sought after by BA fleet collectors at least, but not that difficult to track down.

It does look a little odd seeing that livery on a 727, at first I thought it was a fantasy release untill I found out Commair is a BA franchise operating in South Africa. What also looks odd is the sight of a Commair Boeing 732 in the new BA livery. :p

And also the highly sought after Gemini Jets, Commair/British Airways Boeing 727 world tails three set… 😉 ZS-NOU, ZS-OBM and ZS-OBO

Here’s the latest to arrive, G-EUPA Airbus A319 by Gemini Jets and G-DOCT Boeing 734 also by Gemini Jets.

I’m proud to finally announce the arrival of a model representing a plane I flew in for real (got a feeling I’ve flown G-DOCT?) It’s EI-DAA an Airbus A330-200 by Herpa models. The real thing took me from DUB to LAX a couple of years back and was (is?) the only Lingus A330 to offer seatback PTV’s.

The model isn’t as good as the Gemini version (EI-LAX) also in the picture but pleasing none the less. The tail fin is a bit too plasticky and translucent, the Shamrocks on the tail and winglets are a little too close to the same shade of green as the background. Also the “aerlingus.com” logo is missing from the forward fuselage .

Very good photo Ren might have guessed the A380 had already joined your fleet. Son of Pierre is about to move some House colour airbus on E-bay so keep a eye out.
To anyone thinking of buying the A340-600 take note that the Corporate version (generally available on e-bay only) does not include the LONGER, FASTER, SMOOTHER, MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN ANTHING YOU LOT MAKE, legend down the side which unless I’m mistake does make the Coporate models unique. When i master the sizing of my digi photos i’ll post some.
