Anyway, seller thinks it was used in that appalling Biggles film, though I can not recall seeing it. There were a few scenes at Old Warden with various types ‘dressing’ the set, but I think they were from the Shuttleworth fleet, apart from the film stars, which were a Stearman and a Stampe.
No, definitely not! I seem to recall the Shuttleworth Pup and Avro, as well as the LVG in the German scenes, but it’s been ages since I watched it.
There was a mock-up Pup (or was it a Camel) used near the beginning – definitely not the same thing!

I first saw her derelict at Coventry in 1990. She has had a few homes since -it’s more of a Salmson 2A2 than anything else!

Last time I drove past this the prop was missing off it. and it didnt look in the best of health.
