Request pics. Burn Yorks. airfield

I am requesting if anyone has pics. of Burn airfield past or present, to pls. put them on this thread if possible. My father flew from there during ww2 but I have seen few pics of the place & it is too far to visit from Aus.

There are two very good books that were published by the 578 Squadron Association which are well worth tracking down

All good news for me cdp,links were very interesting for me . my old man flew 38 trips from Burn Feb to Aug. 1944 with 578 sqdrn.& I often wondered what it was like .Many thanks from down under.

Have you tried obtaining some of the books previously published on UK airfields including the relevant ‘Action Stations’ volume (I think the series is now being revised and updated) as well as asking the Yorkshire Air Museum and the UK’s Airfield Research Group?

I have never been there myself and, according to the UK Control Towers website, the tower (latterly v derelict I think) has now been demolished.
