Requesting Suitable Electronic Recipients For My Grandfather's Logbook

Hi all,

I have finally got around to scanning my late Grandfather’s logbook. It is about to fall to bits so about time too! He did some hairy ops to the German heartland, as well as SOE missions.

I’d welcome suggestions for electronic recipients (museums etc) who may be interested in it. I can email smaller images to them. I’d also like to do some more research on the missions on which Leonard flew but am not sure where to start.

An entry which has a link to myself is on the attachment to this post. On 23rd April 1945 Grandad was crewed on Crop 29, an SOE drop to Norway with 298 Sqn. NA337, the Trenton Halifax, took off at about the same time on Crop 17, on which of course it was shot down. About 10 years ago, I was delighted in my job as RAF helicopter crewman, to recover parts of a Hercules engine from Isla by Puma. These parts were used in the restoration of NA337.
