I am researching Mckenna for a display in the BDAC, ETPS and also hopefully a short book.
I am aware of the trophy and annual dinner and his demise. What I would like to know is the earlier details of his career and if anyone has any personal memories of the great man. Cheers Tony

I am into my fourth year recovering McKenna’s Mustang, sorry to revive an old thread but was wondering if anyone may have turned up anymore on this great TP?

Sorry to revive this yet again, but we are now in 7th year of the dig. We are doing a presentation at the the RAeS in March on the great man. Details have proven difficult to find. He was also know as ‘Sam’. He spent some war years in Washington on lendlease aircraft.
