Confused?

Moggy didn’t mean that the http://www.mossie.org page was down, rather that the

Larry Wright and Louise Blackah’s Bomber Command pages

link from the FAQ page is dead.

Links

Many thanks Moggy – I’ll have to tackle the links and FAQ pages sometime soon and it’s not a challenge I’m particularly looking forward to!

For a list of the worldwide Mosquitoes, see my site at http://www.mossie.org – unfortunately it’s not as up-to-date as I’d like it to be, but I’m working on that!

My money is on the Historic Aircraft Collection’s Hawker Fury, the biplane variety, arriving on the circuit next year. Can’t wait to see that.Without doubt one of the most beautiful aircraft ever.
I know we already have the Nimrod, but the Fury, oh i’m going all weak at the knees.
Don’t you just love those Hawker biplanes 🙂

Rolls Royce’s MkXIV G-ALGT should be airworthy by 2006 🙂
so should Peter Monks MkIX TA805 🙂

Linking this to the ‘Who do we have to thank’ thread.

Perhaps it is time to put in a word for the ‘Preservationists of the 1970’s’, the ‘Control Column’ pre Flypast generation, who rescued from the brink many, as seen then, lost causes, including six Seafires, usually with minimal funds.

Two of the latter should be flying next year, not including the ‘Flying A’ Seafire lll.

Hi All,

I was just stating the name of the organisation that is shown as the registered owner on the CAA database – HFL. ARCO and HFL are very strongly tied and occupy opposite halves of the same building. The point I was commenting on, that PV202 ‘belongs to’ ARCO, I still suggest is not entirely accurate.

Sorry to be pedantic – I agree that all these individuals and organisations are, in real terms, custodians.

Caution old chaps.

There is Karel Bos, John Romain, Historic Flying Ltd and ARCO. You can ‘perm any two from three’ when it comes to Spitfire ‘ownership’.

A more appropriate word would be ‘custodianship’.

ARCo (or rather Propshop) do have PR.XI PL983 with a view to rebuilding it under long-term restoration.

Hope so, as this was one of my favourite Spitfires on the circuit.

Well i did my work experience with arc just after the biggen hill crashs and the spit in question was in there work shop and was told that “THEY’D” bought it and that it was the spit that crashed at goodwood a while back.
