As mentioned in my other thread I am no expert modeller and I have a Revell 1/32 Spitfire to start. What I am looking for is detailing kits that I could use to enhance the revell kit. Now I have seen a few bits and pieces for various kits which might work with this kit such as a resin set for an Airfix kit and some other metal and photo etched parts for the Tamiya kit but really not wanting to spend a lot on the Tamiya kit just now. I cant justify it right now because I already have the revell kit sitting there and I dont really have the money for another kit right now.
So does anyone have any advice or links on where I could find detailing kits for the Revell Spit.
Any help much appreciated.

Is there a way of telling from the box/kit if its the older or newer version I have.
When was the newer version first released. I could possibly tell this way.
I guess it would be a case of trial and error just by taking a chance on a particular brand of detailing which may or may not work out in the end.
I have seen a more realistic seat and door which I would like to use but we will see. I may just end up just fitting the standard details.

If it is the newer Revell Spitfire I/II then it is basically the same kit as the Hasegawa MkV. After-market resin for the Hasegawa kit will fit the Revell. If your kit is the older Revell MkI then I’m afraid there is not much to add.

Thanks for that. I think I have looked at the Hannants site before and it is rather good.
And yes you are perfectly correct it does depend a huge amount on what the pocket can afford. I am kinda looking for people experiance of this kit too and if anyone has cross fitted parts from another kit to get the details they wanted.
Not really sure how accurate the Revell kit is either but the options and details with it give it a fighting chance though.
Anyone else have any opinions?

Not sure if his will be of any help.
HANNANTS stock a large variety of Spitfire detailing parts in 1/32 scale. Check out their website.
There doesn’t appear to be any specifically designed to fit he Revell Kit.
However, I think it would be possible to adapt any parts meant for Mk.V Spitfires to fit your model.
It all depends on how accurate you want the finished model to look, and what your wallet can afford
