Bit of a long shot but does anybody know where (in TNA I presume) I would look for records of RFC personnel hospitalised in Egypt. Do such records even exist! I’m trying to find out what happened to my grandfather, Lt Harry James Waghorn, who was transferred into the RFC in Egypt (from the Dorsetshire Regt in Mesopotamia) and after hospitalisation was struck off strength.

There’s nothing much in TNA on the RFC schools at Aboukir and Heliopolis. Seems unlikely that the medical records are still around.

His own records should/may be available from TNA (I purchased my grandfathers on line). Presume you have gone down this route already?
