Sad day today, as the Rallying world has yet again lost a wonderful member of its family.
Richard Burns sadly passed away last night, 2 years after 1st falling ill if a Brain Tumor, whilst driving to Wales Rally GB.
He didn’t drive after this incident
You will be missed Richard
All the best

It is very sad – they have set up a memorials page on his website –
http://www.richardburns.com/memorials/
I think his family are taking great comfort from it.

R.I.P. Richard, you won’t be forgotten in the WRC circuit.

It is always very sad to loose a great, or anyone for that matter. Makes his championship all the more special. My thoughts go out to his family and all that knew him in the rallying world and anywhere else. This seasons not been a good one for rallying.

Very sad news, especially as I’ve been busy all day today and not been near a tv or radio. This is the first I’ve heard of his passing.
RIP
Neal

A great shock, I was never his biggest fan, and always preferred Colin Mccrash, but really is tragic.

It is a terrible shame – we lose one of Britain’s best footballers and Britain’s best rally driver of the past in a matter of days,

I’ve just heard and can only say how sad I feel.
Extremely poignant that it is exactly 4 years after getting his championship!
RIP Richard – thanks for some great rallying!

Far too young, “vale” Richard Burns
