Right place right time at Fairford Monday

Ever wished youd taken the shot? My fiance took this with her Fuji Fine pix on the Monday departures day……..then ducked!!!!!! It hasnt been blown up and only slightly sharpened. Shes getting better, shes even muttering bout having a better camera!!!!!

It is Boeing Chinook HC2A ZH892/HG (cn M-4455)

It is believed that HG is the new designation for this aircraft, as it has been photographed with the designation BL previously. Unfortunately my photographs do not show the registration number. 18 Squadron, RAF Odiham. Seen here dropping of troops during an exercise in east Cornwall.

Fuji Finepix cameras are excellent at picking up closeup chopper (and I mean that literally – as in device for chopping things up) action.

I’ll bet she didn’t have to duck as low as this – see how the blades are actually below the level of my head/camera. Maybe this belongs in the low flying thread.
