These are ring and bead sights, obviously. However, does anyone know what these would be fitted to? Are they off an aircraft or something else? If aircraft, which type? Any information would be gratefully received. Incidentally, the smaller ring and bead both have “50 MPH” written on them.

As MJW says, they certainly do look like Vickers K gun sights, but the ones I have seen have a slight taper at the base. Hendon have a few of these guns – i’m sure they would confirm.

I believe these are the type of sight that were fitted to the Vickers K machine gun, named the Vickers Gas Operated (G.O.) in RAF service. Kind regards, Malcolm.
