Gentlemen,
until the late 1990s, 1960 built Dornier Do 27 Q-5 D-EBUH (Serial No. 2063) was based at Herscheid-Hüinghausen / EDKP, just 3 miles away from my door. Later the owner based the plane at Speyer and his second Do 27 (D-EDDY) moved into EDKP.
Unfortunately, yesterday D-EBUH suffered an engine failure which resulted in a forced landing on a car park. The Do´s just a pile of scrap metal right now and also some 15 cars have been damaged.
Fortunately no one was killed, or seriously injured – the air traffic autorities (Luftaufsicht) from Speyer even regarded the landing as “masterwork”. The Dornier had been carrying five passengers, four of them children between the age of eight to ten.
Scince I´ve been flown in this plane scince I´ve been 5 years old, the loss of it really makes me cry … 🙁

Was there any indication as to what caused the engine failure?
