According to a post I’ve seen on Facebook, Maurice Mounsdon has died, aged 101. He was shot down on August 31st 1940 near Chelmsford and badly burnt – after several weeks in Black Notley Hospital he was transferred to East Grinstead and became a Guinea Pig. He appears in “The Last Enemy” as Mark Mounsdon.
His death leaves three surviving members of “The Few”. The bar at Valhalla gets ever busier.

I saw the BBC news item last night, and thought it a decent obituary, from them, also as mentioned above there are now only 3 of the few still with us, I am sorry to say I have not kept up with these heroes, so can anyone provide the surviving 3 names please…
regards,
jack…

Sad news, but like all of ‘The Few’, he will always be remembered.
