Rip Off Fecking Airport :mad:

Belfast International is £3.00 per hour or £7 for a whole day which I thought was quite good. They do £20 a week in Long Stay.

Belfast City cost £4 for just over one hour and I had to stay there 10 hours one day which cost near £30!!!

Dublin I always found was good value, if you could find the paying machine!!!

Renfrew, – how much did they charge when you were there as its less than €5 (£3.33) for a Large Meal and Supersize being €5.20 (£3.47)

Brussels airport parking costs €2.10 per hour, we once paid 36.60 for 55 hours, seems ok to me. Brussels runs perfectly.

MAN car park is around £15.00 for 5-6 hours which is a bit of a rip

The socalled tax free shops are total ripoff now. Like those perfume shops or so, it’s just the same prices as outside the airport. I only buy things at an airport when I really need them, or when they are cheaper (rarely).

The McDonalds in Dublin Airports is priced the same as outside bar their prices are in Euros which will drop it down to UK standard prices. They charge the same as the 8 or so McDonalds ive been to in Ireland over past 2 years.

Well all I can say is they charge a hell of a lot more in Ireland than they do in Scotland, euro conversion accounted for.

Not sure what High Street you shop on Michael, but I found the prices in Dublin’s McDonalds and in the terminal bar to be quite excessive the times I’ve been there.

Airports like London Gatwick and Dublin are good. They have food outlets selling food and drink at the same price as you would find on the high street.

BFS Burger King charges £5.69 for a SuperSize Meal when its £4.49 in my local Burger King!

At larger airports there’s usually a branch of Boots The Chemist.

Their Meal Deal is always excellent value for money. 😀

They just opened one here at EGAA and thats what ive been living off 😀 £2.85 meal deal and i get discount on it too 😎

Yeah thats a rip off. Internationals not as bad but still pricy but when you get ten twenty or thirty percent off being airport staff it takes the sting out of it a bit 🙂

Well I notice in the Burger King in LBA, instead of £3.69 for a Bacon Double Cheeseburger meal, they charge £4.29 not too bad I suppose.

At least in airports there’s something interesting to look at, and alcohol aplenty! Motorway service areas on the other hand offer the biggest, most expensive pile of crap on earth…

But yes, airport food and drinks can be ridiculous.

To be honest I find Spanish airports the biggest rip off of them all- the bars and restaurants are expensive their offerings are not very good, but the ‘duty free’ shops in particular… what a rip off!!! Being Spanish I’m fully aware of the cost of things. When I see people paying on average 3 times as much for a chorizo or a piece of manchego cheese at the airport than it would cost on any given shop I truly despair…

I think most UK airports over-charge for food/drink…………maybe you might not be ripped off so much at the very small ones Lydd,Shoreham and the like !!

The best snack I had was at Amstedam, a Crab salad roll, so nice I had two !

$8 for “food” at TLV, along with “tea” (if an Israeli can make good tea, my mattress will jump). What a ripoff.
