A fine send off for Tony today.
Mk V Spitfire AB910 of the BBMF is painted in his personal markings with 64 Sqn.
Officers and men of the BBMF formed the pallbearer party.

So sad to hear of Tony’s passing. I had the privilege of meeting him at his home to present him with his gun camera film on DVD. He was thrilled to see it and sat reminiscing about his sorties and the fellow pilots as their names appeared on the title cards. He’d laid on a very nice lunch for myself and Terry Arlow and chatted away about his wartime exploits.
An absolute gentleman and I was honoured to have had the opportunity of spending a brief afternoon in his company…
RIP Sir…

One of my favourite personal photos, taken on a ‘jolly’ to New Orleans for the opening of the War Museum in June 2000.
Star exhibit was Spitfire BL370 of 64 Squadron.
RIP Tony, my good friend.
‘Mark’
