Ripper Hoaxer ("Wearside Jack") caught???

Remember the Yorks Ripper hoaxer, nicknamed Wearside Jack? HE was believed to be the Ripper and had a Wearside (near Durham?) accent, hence the nickname. As most of us know, the real Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe was a Yorkshireman.

Wearside Jack led the West Yorkshire police up the wrong path for several months and even sent the leading detectives with a pretty chilling tape with his voice, taunting them and making them believe he was the culprit.

Tonight, it seems Wearside jack may have been caught and a 49 yr old man is is being held in a Leeds police station.

Coming from Leeds, the I remember Yorks Ripper case very well. Iremember the whole of the north of England breathing a sigh of relief when the bast**d was caught.

One of his victims was a young girl of 16 who’s body was found in a childrens playground near where I still live…..

Jail sentence including constant beatings, sleep deprivation etc, then death – if anyone says thats harsh, i say its not harsh enough, there is no right whatsoever to take the life of an innocent person

True, a bit of torture couldn’t hurt though (well, maybe for them!)

Nah, let them rot in jail and hopfully be tormented by what they’ve done. A sort of living death.

Thought he had a Sunderland accent, and was in Darlington at the time of Jack the Ripper? My dad told me last night he used to know someone that lived in Darlington, with a strong Sunderland accent, and would be about 49 by now!

Either way, i’m glad both of them were caught, shame we can’t hang, draw and quarter them any more

The man is obviously mentally deranged, he needs to be put in the looney bin and throw away the key
