“Dives, loops and beautiful formations. All this was seen at the 1963 Air Show which was the largest Air Show organized in Finland before this. All together thirty aeroplanes took part to the Air Show, organized by Karelia Air Command, at Rissala Air Base.

The most finest planes of that era, Migs, Vampires, Fougas and Saab Safirs performed in the aerobatic and combat displays. The Migs were appeared for the first time in Finland at an air show. Formation of Migs performed “barrels and rolls”. The combat display gathered over 10 000 spectators.”
