Steve Patterson and others will recognise the mainplane views 🙂
These images have been scanned from slides. The content ‘explains myself’, somewhat. I’ll always be in gratitude to the RNHF for a memorable visit. And I’ve always been under no illusions as to my good fortune. I hope the views of this beautiful aircraft will be of use to enthusiasts – I’ve tried to clean them up digitally.
PS: Oh dear, sorry about the size, not sure what to do about that!

Stringbag, driver was Lt Cdr K Patrick RN. He kindly let me have a go at a barrel roll which I hammed up – I remember how the throttle appeared to be no more then a big lump of black metal sticking out of the trhottle quadrant, completely dovetailing into the sense of power available from the engine. Flight was 30 mins. It all comes flooding back now.
Mark, thanks for the re-size.

Cracking photos! Interesting to see the old familiar fire dump Sea Prince in the background of one of your shots.
Who was your driver?

SFF
1985, you’ll still be grinning then 😀

Seafuryfan,
Top stuff photos.
I resized them to fit the screen so we may enjoy them the more.
The revised ‘manage attachment’ feature now seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to image order. That may need looking into.

Fantastic pics mate, thanks for sharing, looks like you had a great day. WG655 was one awesome looking brute,is it just me or does anyone else think the two-seaters are somehow better looking than the singles?
Does anyone have any recent news or piccies of ‘655 under rebuild at Kenosha?
