RNoAF identifications this year.

A day at work in RNoAF:)

So far this year(2009), the RNoAF have identified 75 Russian aircraft.
Last year(2008) it was some 87 identification.

I use the phrase Identified and not intercepted! The news media here allways use intercepting.. just to add drama, but which are tecnically wrong.

Reports from the No airforce are that the Russian’s are now doing more complex mission from last year.
Which is longer hour mission with more midair-refueling.
Reports state this is because the Russian airforce crews are getting far more training in both quantity & quality over the last two years.

Now the real number of RuAF missions past Norway borders may very well be higher, cause the RNoAF do have both limited funding and operational limits(fewer F-16’s).:mad:
