RNZAF Museum P40

Not sure if anyone’s already posted about this yet, but the RNZAF Museum’s P40 has been rolled out of the restoration hangar and is now on full show.
If the pictures that I took actually show up (it’s my first attempt at attaching photos…) you will see just what an excellent job they have made of it!

True, but they are substantialy the same from the firewall back and I’m sure, if someone came up with a genuine RNZAF example for trade, rebuilding it back to F status wouldn’t be overly difficult.
At least the airframe is no longer a pile of debris as it once was.

Wow, I’d no idea it had advanced that much!
The “restorations” section of the RNZAFM website is decidedly out of date.
Great to see it done, and I look forward to seeing some more of their projects move along (especially the Vildebeest)
