Very nice photos. Believe it or not I never knew the airtourer was aerobatic.

Very fine pictures!
The Airtourer competed to replace Chipmunks in Denmark. (Early 70’ies). It lost to the Swedish MFI-17. But Sweden chose the Scottish Bulldog! Later Norway went for MFI-15’s. I had the good fortune to travel with “Baby Blue”, the RDAF Flying School display team, to Koksijde, Belguim, last Summer. The amount of displacemnt in this typical “slow mover”-team- mostly up/down – is unbelievable. Yet hardly noticable from the ground. What is the smoke system like? (We’ll never get a smart paint job! But maybe some ather gimmick 😀

There are some more good ones but they are with a couple of magazine editors so will have to hold them for now.

Well thanks, Gavin.

And I see that you’ve definitely saved the best for last, those first two shots just leap out at you!

Excellent photographs and thanks for sharing. That must represent a large chunk of the RNZAF. I met the guys at a show at Ardmore about 5 years ago and they were really helpful, especially when I told them that I fly an Airtourer here in the UK. It is one of the Hamilton-built ones so it’s a Kiwitourer!
