According to http://www.adf-serials.com/nz-serials/nz6361.shtml three of the RNZAF Strikemasters were on the UK civil register before being delived to the RNZAF.
Why was this? Was it for demonstration purposes at airshows? I know that at least one was demonstrated at a big airshow (Farnborough I think)
Those registered were
NZ6363 = G-AZXJ
NZ6364 = G-AZXK
NZ6365 = G-AZYN
Does anyone have any idea?

Yes indeed, both ‘ZXK and ‘ZYN were at Farnborough 1972 and were technically owed by BAC for demo purposes prior to delivery. I guess ‘ZXJ was a spare, but I never saw that one.
